Question: How do I load and play my own retro game ROMs?
Answer:
Make sure Wi-Fi is connected.
1. Copy your game ROM files into the correct subfolder inside the gameRoms folder, located in the root of the GAMES
drive. Use the table below to match the file extension to the right folder.
To copy the files:
1. Open the Files app from the Home screen.
2. Use the direction buttons to go to your USB flash drive, open the folder with your ROM files and press OK.
3. Go to the top taskbar and press OK on the SELECT icon.
4. Go to the files you want to copy and press OK. A green tick will appear next to each file.
5. Go back to the top taskbar and choose the file actions icon.
6. On the pop-up options, select Copy and press OK.
7. Press OK again on the SELECT icon to turn it off.
8. Press OK on the Home icon to go back to the main screen and select the GAMES drive.
9. Find and open the gameRoms folder.
10.Choose the right subfolder based on your ROM file type (see table below) and press OK.
11.Go to the top taskbar and select the file actions icon again.
12.Select Paste and press OK. The files will copy to the selected folder.
After copying the ROMs to the correct folders:
2. Go back to the Home screen and launch the GAME BOX app.
3. Click on the USB icon.
4. Select the game category icon.
5. Choose the game name to launch and play it.
6. To exit a game or the games app altogether, press the SELECT and START buttons at the same time.
