The Laser Multi-Region DVD Player with HDMI / Composite / USB does not provide standard Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 analogue surround sound output.

Audio output works as follows:
- HDMI provides stereo audio only.
- FL and FR provide standard left and right stereo output.
- ML and MR provide mixed analogue audio channels.
- The mixed channels may create a wider speaker effect on compatible equipment.
- ML and MR are not true discrete rear surround channels.

Connect the audio outputs to matching inputs on a compatible amplifier or speaker system and select the correct input source.
