Follow these steps to update your CarPlay dongle:

What You Need

• CarPlay dongle
• 5V USB-A power source (laptop, PC, wall charger, or power bank)
• Smartphone with web browser, Wi-Fi, and mobile data

Steps to Update

1. Check for Updates

   • Ensure your iOS or Android system and Android Auto app are up to date.

2. Prepare the Dongle

   • Unplug the dongle from your vehicle’s USB port.
   • Connect it to a powered 5V USB-A port (laptop, PC, wall charger, or power bank).

3. Connect to the Dongle’s Wi-Fi

   • Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings.
   • Select the dongle’s Wi-Fi network: NAVC-WDCP**
   • Enter the password: 12345678

4. Access the Update Page

   • Open a web browser on your phone.
   • Type 192.168.1.101 in the address bar and tap Go.
   • 
   • Note the current firmware version displayed at the top of the page.

5. Download the Latest Firmware

   • Scroll to the bottom of the page.
   • Select the latest version from the dropdown list.

   • Tap the green "Upgrade" button to start the download.
   • 
   • Wait for the progress bar to complete.

6. Install the Update

   • Once the download is complete, tap the green "Upgrade" button again.
   • 
   • The update process will start and may take 5–10 minutes.
   • At 50% progress, the dongle will restart, and your phone will disconnect from Wi-Fi.

7. Complete the Update

   • Refresh the web browser page after the dongle restarts.
   • Once the update is finished, the system information page will reload with the new firmware version.
