Question: How do I set up the NAVC-WDCP-099 Wireless Dongle for CarPlay or Android Auto?
Answer:

  1. Start the Car: Ensure the vehicle's head unit is powered on.
  2. Connect the Dongle: Insert the dongle into the car's USB port. Use the USB-A to USB-C adapter if needed.
  3. Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  4. Pair the Device: Search for "NAVC-WDCP" on your phone's Bluetooth list and pair it.
  5. Switch to Wi-Fi: After pairing, the dongle switches to Wi-Fi for a stable connection.

Note: The wireless dongle works by first using Bluetooth to pair your smartphone with the vehicle. It then switches to Wi-Fi to maintain the wireless connection. After successful Bluetooth pairing, your smartphone will automatically

connect to the dongle's Wi-Fi. For CarPlay, the dongle disconnects its Bluetooth connection, allowing your vehicle’s Bluetooth to handle calls and other functions. For Android Auto, your vehicle's Bluetooth will automatically connect

by default.
