How to Add and Assign Tasks on the Laser Digital Calendar

This guide explains how to create and assign a task using the Laser 15.6 Inch Digital Calendar with Touch Screen, model AO-156TDC-544.

What are tasks used for?

Tasks can help family members keep track of household jobs, reminders and responsibilities using the shared digital calendar.

How to add a task

1. Open the Tasks feature on the digital calendar.
2. Select the option to create a new task.
3. Enter the task information shown in the video.
4. Select the family member responsible for the task.
5. Review the task information.
6. Save the task.

The task should now appear in the Tasks area for the selected family member.

How to add a family member without a phone

You can create a profile for a child or another family member who does not have their own phone:

1. On the digital calendar, open Settings > Members > Add member.
2. Choose a profile photo.
3. Enter the family member’s name.
4. Select a colour for the profile.
5. Tap Add.

You can now create events and tasks for that family member.

How to add a Tasks widget to the dashboard

Adding a Tasks widget makes it easier to see family tasks from the main dashboard:

1. Press and hold any dashboard widget until it enters Edit Mode.
2. Tap Add Widget in the top-left corner.
3. Select Tasks.
4. Swipe through the available widget styles.
5. Select the required style and tap Add Widget.
6. Drag the widget into the required position.
7. Tap OK.

If the family member is not available

• Check that the family member has been added under Settings > Members.
• If they use their own phone, confirm that they have joined the calendar through the Whale Framely app.
• If they do not use a phone, create a member profile directly on the calendar.

If the task does not appear

• Check that the task was saved successfully.
• Confirm that the correct family member was selected.
• Check the Tasks area and the Tasks dashboard widget.
• Confirm that the calendar is connected to the internet.
• Restart the calendar if the screen is not updating.
