How to update firmware | MID-7A15 and MID-10A15 Tablets

Some MID‑7A15 and MID‑10A15 tablets may experience freezing, crashing, or crashdump errors. A new firmware update is now available that resolves these issues.

If your tablet is affected, please contact Laser Support. We can provide you with an SD card containing the correct firmware so you can easily update your device yourself.

This update will restore normal performance and prevent further errors.


Below are the instructions to update the firmware


 Before you begin the update

⚠️ Important information

* All user data will be erased during the update.

* You will need your previous PIN or Google account details to sign in after the update.


Make sure you have:

* The tablet

* The charger

* The micro SD card we sent you


5. How to update the firmware

Follow these steps in order.

1. Connect the tablet to the charger.

   * If the tablet will not power on, charge it for at least 1 hour first.

2. Insert the micro SD card into the tablet.

3. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn the tablet on.

4. If nothing happens, press and hold the Power button for 8 to 10 seconds to force a restart.

5. Wait for 8 to 10 seconds.

   * The firmware upgrade screen and progress bar should appear.

6. Leave the tablet alone while it updates.

   * The process takes several minutes.

7. When the upgrade finishes, the tablet will turn off by itself.

8. Do not turn it on yet.

   * Remove the micro SD card first.

9. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn the tablet on.

✅ The firmware update is now complete.
