Question: How do I reconnect my Smart Tag to a new phone?

To reconnect your Smart Tag to a new Apple device:

  1. If the Smart Tag is still listed in the Find My app, remove it first.
  2. Open the Find My app and go to the Items tab.
  3. Select your Smart Tag.
  4. Make sure Lost Mode is disabled.
  5. Scroll down and tap Remove Item, then confirm by tapping Remove. The Smart Tag will beep to confirm.
  6. To factory reset the Smart Tag, press the power button 4 times. On the fifth press, hold it until you hear a different sound.
  7. If the Smart Tag was not paired with an Apple ID, you only need to follow the factory reset step above.
  8. On your new iPhone or iPad, make sure Bluetooth is turned on and your device is running a compatible version of iOS or iPadOS.
  9. Press the Smart Tag button to power it on. It will beep to confirm.
  10. Open the Find My app, go to the Items tab, tap +, then choose Add Other Item.
  11. Follow the on-screen prompts to name your Smart Tag and complete setup.

The Laser Smart Tag TG-T135 works with Apple Find My and can be paired again after it has been removed and reset.
