Outlines the minimum requirements for connecting Android devices to the CarPlay screen, detailing both USB and wireless connection standards. 


To connect with a USB cable:
  1. An Android phone with Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher and an active data plan.
  2. A high-quality USB cable.
To connect wirelessly:
  1. A compatible Android phone with an active data plan. Wireless projection is compatible with these Android versions:
    a. Any phone with Android 11.0 or higher.
    b. A Google or Samsung phone with Android 10.0
         c. A Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, or Note 8, with Android 9.0
Important:
  • Android Auto is integrated into phones with Android 10 and above. You do not need to download it from Google Play Store.
  • Android Auto isn't available on devices that run Android (Go edition).
  • For Android 14 users: Make sure Android Auto app is up-to-date before connecting with the CarPlay screen.
  • Keep your phone's Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Location Services turned on while you complete the setup.
  • Google Assistant needs to be enabled for voice control functionality.
